The Floyd Band

The Floyd Band was really never my cup of tea.  Way to much "screaming incoherently into the mic" to be danceable, yet still I had a lot of respect for the lead singer, Floyd. Unfortunately the rest of the band member's names are lost in time.

Floyd was never the best looking guy in the world.  Let's face it, if you met him on the street you'd probably give him a buck or two to get some warm grub.  But this guy had a real way with the ladies.

Floyd ALWAYS had a girl with him, rain or shine.  And he was always the most down to earth guy, even plowed out of his mind.  I'd have to say he was one of the most identifiable characters of that era; most clubbers would recognize him even if they didn't know the name.

I'm not sure what Floyd is doing now.  The poster to the left is from a concert in 1994.

Oh, his song "He Said, She Said" is legendary for his use of mannequin heads and his trademark bandana.

Floyd, I miss ya man.
